We adopted Russ (aka Wally) last February, and I just wanted to give you an update on his/our new life. 

Russ has quite the personality and is a joy to be around.  He has lots of energy but also enjoys cuddling on the couch as well.

He runs very fast and will retrieve a ball endlessly (we use the ball
thrower that came with him).  We had him up at the lake for most of last summer.  He really enjoys searching and chasing chipmunks and squirrels.  He bounces through the bush like a rabbit.  Although he never gets close to catching one, he never gives up.

Russ also discovered water.  We are not sure if he ever swam before but he caught on fast.  In the shallow area of the lake, he will continuously splash his front paws in the water and then bite at the bubbles that splashing motion creates.

Russ is very portable ... we take him everywhere.  He likes car and motor-boat rides as well as excursions in the kayak.

He has really changed our lives in just a short time, and it's really hard to imagine life without him.
