Hi,

I'm Mookie (formerly Chelsea) and I was adopted on July 16, 2008.  Because I was lost, my age was guessed to be about 6 or 7 years old.  As you can see from the photographs, after a month in my new home, we went on a vacation to Lac St-Jean, north of Quebec City.  I totally enjoyed cottage life, especially the beach and water.  We're all hoping that next year I'll be able to run around off leash - I still get a little too excited when I see the squirrels there (small red ones only a little bit bigger than chipmunks) and we were worried I'd get lost running after them into the woods.

My Mom and I are taking pet training lessons at PetSmart - love that place!  So many things to sniff.  I can't seem to get enough whiffs.  Many people stop to pet me - boys especially seem to like me.  I do have a friendly face, of course.

My favourite thing is going for walks and of course sniffing lots of new and interesting smells.  My Mom says I look happy on my walks with my tail curved up and wagging.  On the weekend my "brother" takes me for a run.  That is especially exciting.

I'd like to thank all the people at the SPCA of Western Quebec in Aylmer, who took such great care of me while I was there for a couple of months.  I still have problems with excessive barking when people come to the door but we're working on that.  Hope you find good homes for all the other animals.  I feel very lucky!
