This is a note to let you know how successfully "Darcy" (formerly "Haddock", ID #12242, adopted from your shelter Dec. 31/11) has settled into his new home. He is curious, mischievous, playful and extremely affectionate! He adjused to life with our older cat and small dog more quickly than even I thought possible. I have also added a couple of tablespoons of wet food every day to his diet, which has already changed his coat from dull to gleaming, and the dry, flaky skin he had when we first got him has disappeared completely. I also think he might have already put on a pound or two, even though it has been less than 2 weeks!
He is
doing fantastic and is certainly making life interesting - it is
rather like living with a 2 year old in the house again! He
loves getting into mischief at every opportunity - such as trying to
climb into the dishwasher, the fridge, the crockpot, you name it!
His favourite place to recline is actually the kitchen table where he
can keep an eye on everything and all household comings and goings.
(We don't mind at all as long as we're not eating at it!) He has
also started running to the door to greet me at night with the dog
when I get home from work - so cute!
