          We are
happy to tell you that Daisy is settling in wonderfully!  She is
very calm indoors and enjoys sleeping on her comfortable bed.
She lays on it every chance she gets, even as we try to change its
location.  In this state, we like to call her "Lazy Daisy".
When excited to see people, she lays on her back, showing her belly
and hoping for a good ol' rub!

          She
follows our other dog Kartoush (an eleven year old lab/retriever mix),
who has definitely taken on the big brother role.  She is by his
side when unsure about an unknown noise or object and follows him
around the house.  She is off-leash, running awkwardly (so
adorable!), as often as possible but likes to stay close by.  She
looks for us and Kartoush every few seconds and comes when called.

We have been working on her independence and social abilities with our
neighbourhood dogs as well as at the dog park and she has slowly come
out of her shell.  She is just starting to play with other dogs.
At first, she would run in circles barking at the dogs playing (we
think she was telling them not to play too rough).  Now, she runs
with them and occasionally jumps right in the play!  After
spending an hour or so running at the park, she cannot wait to rest
and often falls asleep in the car.

She has already learned a few tricks and although she gets lots of
love and attention, she knows who's boss!  This is important because
she'll be big and powerful soon (once she grows into her paws) and we
don't want her taking charge.  She tears apart her stuffed toys
and blinds them by taking out their eyes (poor things can't see what's
coming!).  We are happy she stays away from furniture and
accessories because she could definitely cause a mess!

Our family, friends and veterinarian are impressed with
her temperament.  She is sometimes anxious but trusting, which we
use to our advantage in training her!  We love her dearly and are
so grateful!  Thank you for taking good care of her during her
stay and for matching her with our family.  We are happy to have
her as part of the family!
