For a number of years, Evan and Luke have collected donations on their
birthdays - rather than gifts - with many of these donations given to
the SPCA of Western Quebec. Shortly after Halloween this year, they
organized and ran an Orienteering event on their property. There were
approximately 45 children and adults running the Orienteering course
as well as a number of other adults attending. Along with a small
entry fee, they also accepted donations for a raffle and other events.
Recently, Evan and Luke visited the shelter and gave the SPCA a most
generous donation of $160.00 via their fundraising efforts.
The SPCA is a favourite of the boys, in part because their family
adopted Charlie from our shelter. Charlie happily shared the house
with their older Black Lab who, unfortunately, passed away earlier
this year (at the ripe old age of 14). Charlie is an integral part of
the family and has matured into a wonderful dog with a heart of gold
and unbounded energy (perfect when you have two boys).
Thanks so much to Evan, Luke and their family for their support, and
for giving a forever home to Charlie. Your donation is greatly
appreciated and will be put to the best of use for the shelter
animals.
